Car Boot Sale

Tripes Farm is well known in the
area for hosting the biggest boot fairs. We host 14 car boot sales each
year. Not only do you get a bargain or two , you get a breathe of fresh
air and the peaceful views of the Kent Country as it has been for 100's
of years.
The sales are managed
professionally and there are on site facilities to make your 'bargain
hunting' even more enjoyable. Below is the schedule for the forthcoming
boot sales this year.
Telephone 01689 876602 for all enquiries.
On a 'Sale' day the number will have a recorded message to advise on the
status. Gates open at 6am for sellers and early birds! The
majority of sellers/buyers arrive at 7am. The boot sale has no 'closing'
time but will 'quieten down' around 1pm. Prices click here

*Due to the 'nature' of an open air event on soft ground, we
sometimes have to cancel and reschedule Sales due to bad weather. In
these scenarios we do our best to update this website and the Boot Sale
phone answer message. If a sale is cancelled a sign is placed at the
gate at 6am on the Sunday.

The Rules
The 'Boot Sales' are licensed* and are
regulated by the local authority (The London Borough of Bromley). There are
guidelines that we have to adhere to to ensure that we make your 'bargain
hunting' as safe and as enjoyable to all as possible.
-
1. When trading at the boot sale,
ALL 'sellers' are required to display a disclaimer in the windscreen of the
vehicle that they are selling from. This is given to you when you arrive by
our gate marshal.
-
2. The selling and buying of
tobacco, alcoholic drink, drugs, pirated media and pornography is strictly prohibited. (Abuse
of this rule is not dealt with by us but by the police and will be enforced at
ALL tines by our stewards.)
-
3. The selling of stolen goods, of
course, is strictly prohibited and it is not uncommon for plan clothed police
to be observing areas within the boot sale.
-
4. Our customer car park is provided
for you and is marshalled by our stewards. We ask that when driving on the
farmland that you stick to the designated parking and driving areas and follow
the signs. Do not deviate from these areas as driving 'off road' is very
dangerous and can damage arable farm land.
-
5. Toilets are provided for you
(please use them!).
-
6. Refreshments are provided by the
many refreshment stalls that regularly attend the boot sales week in week out.
You are not permitted to 'cook you own' food by use of naked flame. This
includes the use of BBQs and camping stoves.
-
7. Heath and safety. Your safety is
our main priority. The boot sale area is clearly marked out and is always
patrolled by our stewards. Please do not 'wander off' onto the farmland as
machinery and uneven land can be very dangerous and these areas are not
patrolled by the stewards.
-
8. All our stewards carry 2 way
radios and are there to assist you. They are clearly visible with their
'Florissant' waist-coats. They are the first point of any query and will be
happy to assist.
-
9. You MUST take ALL
rubbish and unsold items home with you. You cannot simply leave it on the
field.
* The license referred to is the 'Boot fair occasional sale
licence'. The details of this can be found at the
LBB website.
